This is a very scavenger friendly recipe on how to make priya's favorite ground beef dish. Shhh....but dont tell her.
Ingredients :
500g Minced beef (minced chicken or mutton/lamb works well too)
Table Salt
Coarse Garlic Powder
Lime & Lemon Juice
Worcestershire Sauce
Red Hot Sauce( any will do or simply use cayenne pepper + vinegar)
Powdered Coriander
Cinnamon Powder
Mesquite Seasoning(optional)
Lemon Pepper (optional)
Seasoned Pepper(optional)
Note : all measurements are eyeballed and adjusted for taste. sorry in advance.
Cooking Time : 30 min
Serves : 1 Priya
Directions:
In a bowl mix beef with a generous portion of Garlic Salt and some Lemon/lime juice. Add salt and coriander. Save cinnamon for final 10 min of cooking.
Throw beef mixture into pan with a teaspoon of oil. Add Red hot and Worcestershire sauce. mix and cover with lid.
Stir and mix every 5 minutes.
About 15 minutes into cooking open lid and add a little more lemon juice and a bit more garlic powder. (if you have the optional ingredients this is where you'd throw them in)
By this time the beef should be sizzling. Keep tossing it around and add a few more drops of Worcestershire sauce while the lid is off. This will allow a coat of sauce to form around the beef locking in all the flavor.
Try a small bit and adjust to your own liking. You'll know its done when you check the meat and theres no pink centers in any of the bigger pieces.
Hopefully you didn't screw up. On that note, if all went well and it doesnt taste like poo then you should be eating a tangy bowl of priyas favorite ground beef. Enjoy!
